The Impact of the Library Tour Program on the Pre-librarians' Affective Domain

본 연구의 목적은 예비사서들이 도서관 견학프로그램을 통해 다양한 도서관의 사서업무들을 직접 보고 들어봄으로써 사서직무수행을 위한 예비사서의 정의적 태도에 어떠한 변화가 있는지를 밝혀내어 대학의 문헌정보학과, 도서관의 견학담당 사서, 그리고 예비사서들에게 도서관 견학이 갖는 교육적 의의를 제시하기 위함이다. 도서관 견학프로그램에 참여한 A 대학의 예비사서 29명을 대상으로 도서관 견학프로그램을 적용하기 사전과 사후 설문조사를 통해 분석한 결과, 도서관 견학이 예비사서들의 직무수행에 관한 정의적 영역에 미치는 영향이 있었다. 따라서 대학의 문헌정보학과뿐만 아니라 도서관 현장의 견학담당사서들에게 있어서도 도서관 견학프로그램이 예비사서들의 사서직무 역할 수행을 위한 태도에 영향을 미친다는 것으로 보아 도서관 견학이 예비사서들의 정의적 영역의 고취에 도움을 주어 교육적 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the library tour program on pre-librarians' perception as librarians, and to present the educational meaning of library tour program for pre-librarians. For doing this, the 29 pre-librarians participated in library tour are surveyed before and after library tour program. The results revealed that the library tour program for pre-librarians is proved to have the educational effects that establish the per-librarians' attitudes toward positive librarian job performance. It's meaningful that this study presents the educational effects of library tour program to pre-librarians.
