초록
검색엔진, 웹 포털사이트, 온라인 서점 등이 정보의 유통을 주도하면서 도서관과 도서관 웹 사이트에서 제공하는 목록의 영향력이 줄어들고 있다. 이러한 환경에서 서지 네트워크 기관에서도 웹 환경의 일반이용자들에 대한 서비스에 더 많은 관심을 갖게 되었다. 본 연구에서는 서지 네트워크의 발전과정, 도서관과 목록 환경의 변화, 차세대 목록 인터페이스와 OPAC 2.0의 모습을 먼저 살펴보았다. 그리고 대표적인 서지 네트워크 기관으로 최근 주목할 만한 변화를 지속적으로 시도하고 있는 OCLC의 사례를 구체적으로 살펴보았다. 이를 바탕으로 웹 이용자 서비스를 중심으로 서지 네트워크의 발전 방향을 세 가지 전략으로 나누어 제시하였다. 본 연구가 서지 네트워크의 발전 방향 설정을 위한 기초자료 뿐만 아니라, 도서관과 목록 서비스의 변화와 개선 전략으로도 참고가 되리라 기대한다.
Abstract
Search engines, web portal sites, online book stores are being the main stream of information network. Library and its catalog has not influenced as the way it had been to the information network any more. Thus, institutions leading the bibliographic network started to pay much attention to the web user service. This article firstly reviewed the development of the bibliographic network, next generation catalog interface and OPAC 2.0, and investigated the case of OCLC in detail. Based on the reviews, this study suggested the development plan of bibliographic network focusing on the web user service in terms of the three strategies. It is hoped that this article will be the basic study for the future of the bibliographic network and the reference for the changes and improvements of libraries and catalog services.

국제적인 환경변화와 함께, 지난 수 십 년 동안 이민자, 피난자, 유학생, 단순 방문자 등을 포함하여 다양한 사람들이 미국에 정착하고 있다. 미국에 정착하는 외국인들의 증가는 미국내의 지역사회에 있어서 문화적 다양성의 기회를 제공하고 있다. 한편 이와 같은 소수민의 증가에 따른 문화적 다양성은 지역사회에 대한 문화 및 공공서비스를 제공하고 있는 공공도서관에게 있어서 많은 분야에 있어서 다양한 영향을 미치고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 미국내의 공공도서관을 둘러싼 환경적인 변화에 따라 인종적, 문화적 및 언어적 측면에서 다양성을 포함하고 있는 지역 주민들을 위하여 공공도서관에서 제공하고 있는 서비스 프로그램의 활성화 및 발전방안에 대하여 논의하고 있다. 특히, 본 연구에서는 미국에 새로이 정착하는 사람들을 위한 도서관 환경 조성, 지역사회에서 요구되는 요구사항, 도서관 서비스와 프로그램, 다문화 자료의 확보, 다양한 인종을 고려한 도서관 직원 고용, 다른 기관과의 협력, 정보기술, 그리고 공공도서관이 직면할 수 있는 문제점에 대하여 포괄적으로 논의하였다.
Abstract
With changes of global environment, a growing number of people has entered America in recent decades, including immigrants, refugees, exchange students, and visitors. The influx of newcomers has brought great challenges to American public libraries to meet the needs and desires of diverse groups in the community. This paper discusses how public libraries can improve their services and programs for the ethnic, cultural, and linguistic diversities of community members. Especially, this paper comprehensively discusses that the public library's atmosphere for newcomers, community need assessment, library services and programs, multicultural collections, multicultural staff, collaboration with other organizations and groups, information and communication technology, and future challenges for public libraries.

공공도서관의 문화적인 기능의 확대는 소득수준의 향상과 여가시간의 증가로 인해 문화적인 욕구를 해소하고 문화 복지에 대한 지역주민들의 다양한 요구를 해결하는데 필수적인 사항이다. 본 연구에서는 제주지역 공공도서관에서 운영되는 문화프로그램에 대한 실태조사와 공공도서관 문화프로그램의 이용자 만족도 조사 및 문화프로그램 담당자 설문조사를 통하여 문화프로그램 운영상의 문제점을 도출하여 제주지역 공공도서관 문화프로그램의 지역적 특성화와 개선사항을 제시하고자 하였다.
Abstract
To expand the cultural function of public libraries is a requisite for satisfying cultural needs and meet residents' diverse requirements of cultural welfare due to the improved level of income and the increased amount of leisure time. The purpose of this study is to conduct researches on the actual state of cultural programs operated by public libraries in Jeju Island and on cultural program users' satisfaction at public libraries, along with a survey with those in charge of the cultural programs to find out problems with operation of the programs and suggest localization and improvement of the cultural programs at public libraries in Jeju Island.

본 연구는 문헌분류표를 바탕으로 음식문화 분야와 한식을 고찰하여 음식문화의 다양한 주제를 보다 더 효과적으로 분류할 수 있도록 DDC의 개선 방향을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 동서양의 대표적인 분류 체계인 DDC, UDC, LCC, KDC, NDC, 중국도서관도서분류법을 대상으로 식생활 풍습, 식사 예절, 영양과 식이, 식품과 음료, 식단과 상차림, 음료 기술, 식품 공학으로 나누어 음식문화와 관련된 항목들을 비교분석하였다. 분석 결과, 6개 분류표의 한식에 대한 분류 항목은 거의 없었으며 앞으로 한국 고유의 음식과 상차림 등이 분류표에 반영될 필요성을 확인하였다. 분류표에 새로운 분류 항목이나 주기의 추가를 위해서는 문헌적 타당성을 가져야 하므로 다양한 한식에 관한 조리법이나 간행물을 발간하고 이를 전 세계에 알려야 할 것이다.
Abstract
The purposes of this study are to examine how food and culture and Korean foods are reflected in the classification systems and to propose improvements of DDC to classify various subjects related to the materials of food and culture. For the study, six classification systems - DDC(Dewey Decimal Classification), UDC(Universal Decimal Classification), LCC(Library of Congress Classification), KDC(Korean Decimal Classification), NDC (Nippon Decimal Classification), China Library Classification - were analyzed in aspects of eating and drinking customs, eating etiquette, nutrition and diet, food and drink, meal and table service, beverage technology, and food technology. As a result, there were few headings about Korean food in six classification systems and it was necessary for DDC to have new headings for classifying Korean and Asian traditional foods and table services. Due to the literary warrant in classification systems, it is required to publish and disseminate various Korean food recipes and publications to add new headings or notes in future classification systems.

국립디지털도서관(NDL)의 정보서비스 정책이 개발되기 위해서는 문헌연구 및 해외 디지털도서관 정보서비스 사례 분석, 관련 분야 전문가를 통한 포커스 그룹 인터뷰, 도서관 이용자 및 사서를 대상으로 하는 설문조사 등 다각적인 연구가 필요하다. 본 연구는 국립디지털도서관 정보서비스 정책 개발 방법 중의 하나로서 NDL 건립과 운영에 관한 도서관 이용자 및 사서들의 인식과 기대사항을 다양한 측면에서 조사하였다.
Abstract
To develop a policy for effective and efficient information services, it is necessary to perform studies that reflect multi-dimensional perspectives of various groups. For this, a literature review on the information service policies of other national digital libraries, focus group interviews of professionals from related fields, and a survey of library users and librarians are needed. This study is based on a survey that asks library users and librarians for their opinions regarding the NDL as a part of research projects to develop the NDL information service policy.

디지털시대의 도래로 도서관의 자원요소의 구성 및 각 자원요소의 중요도 비중이 매우 달라졌음에도 불구하고, 여전히 과거의 전통적인 요소만으로 대학도서관의 효율성을 측정하고 있는 것에 한계가 있다고 생각하고, 본 연구에서는 디지털도서관 시대에 적합한 도서관효율성 평가를 위한 자원요소를 재규명하고자 하였다. 설문조사방법이 사용되었으며, 그 결과 투입요소로 예산, 직원, 면적, 단행 본 수, 연속간행물 수, 전자저널 수, 비도서 수, 웹DB 종수, 전자책 수, 컴퓨터 수, 원문DB구축건수 등이 선정되었고, 산출요소로 대출책 수, 이용자 수, 홈페이지 접속건수, 웹 DB 이용건 수 등이 선정되었다. 재발견된 자원요소 중 전자자원 요소가 상당히 발견된 것을 알 수 있었다.
Abstract
With the advent of the digital era, even thought the configuration and the importance of library resources have changed, still only traditional library resources of the past have been used to measure the effectiveness of university libraries. To overcome these limits, this study purposed to redefine the library resources factors for the evaluation of the library effectiveness as appropriate standards in digital library era. The survey method was used, the result follows. Budget, librarians, space, books, periodicals, e-journals, non-book materials, Web DB, e-book, computers are selected as input resources elements, while loan books, users, website visits, web DB uses are selected as output resoures elements. It could be noticeable that the elements related to the electronic resources was reidentified quiet a lot.

정보접근, 획득, 이용자와 정보시스템과의 상호작용과 관련된 내용 중심으로 연구된 이용자 연구는 변화된 정보환경에서 정보획득과 공유행위를 포함한 정보행위 관점에서 연구할 필요가 있다. Wilson의 정보행위 개념을 적용하여 도서관과 인터넷 환경에서 이용자 정보획득과 공유행위의 요구 및 동기, 과정의 내용을 분석하기 위해 질적 연구와 양적 연구의 통합적 접근을 시도하였다. 통합적 분석을 토대로 정보서비스 개선방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
Study on users which was done centering information approach, acquisition and interoperability between users and information systems need to be studied in the perspective of information behavior including information acquisition and sharing behavior in the changing information environment. In order to analyze users' information acquisition and sharing behavior's demands, motives and processes in libraries and internet environments, integrated approach of both qualitative and quantitative study were tried by applying Wilson's information behavior concept. Plans for the improvement of information services were suggested on the basis of integrative analysis.

본 연구의 목적은 국내 학술지, 회의자료 등 학술논문에 나타나는 저자명을 중심으로 저자명 전거데이터를 구축하기 위한 방안과 이를 적용한 전거데이터 구축시스템을 제시하는데 있다. 학술논문 저자명 전거데이터를 구축하기 위해 저자명 식별 요소를 분석하고 이를 토대로 저자 식별방법을 제안하였으며, 국내 학술논문의 저자명을 대상으로 실제 저자명 전거레코드를 구성하였다. 또한, 학술논문의 입수주기 및 규모를 고려하여 학술정보 데이터베이스구축과 동시에 전거데이터가 구축, 관리되고 학술정보 서비스와 연계될 수 있도록 학술논문 관리시스템과 서비스시스템과 본 연구의 제안 시스템이 상호 연계성을 가질 수 있도록 설계되었다.
Abstract
In this paper, we proposed the effectively method for constructing of name authority data in korean academic papers and designed the authority database system that is applied the method. For these, we analyze the requisite for identifying the author name and suggest the author identification method. Because construction of name authority record costs time and effort, and considering frequently period of large-scale acquisitions of academic papers, our suggestion includes the system that be able to manage and construct the name authority database, and that is tightly connected with the academic paper management and service systems.

도서관 고유의 문화프로그램의 개발은 도서관에서만 생산 가능한 정보를 교육정보로 가공하여 제공함으로써 이용자로 하여금 도서관의 가치를 인식하도록 하고, 도서관 정보 활용을 확대하도록 하는데 목적이 있다. 이런 면에서 어린이를 위한 문화프로그램으로 인형극공연을 제안하며, 공연이 도서관 문화프로그램으로의 정체성을 확립하고, 정착하기 위하여 담당자가 시행하여야 할 프로그램 운영 방안과 이용자서비스 방안을 제시하였다. 운영방안은 이용자서비스 측면, 장서개발 측면, 정보 제공서비스 측면, 타기관연계 측면으로 구분하여 프로그램 시행방안을 제시하였다. 이용자서비스 측면으로 공연 관람, 전시회 기획, 독서프로그램 기획, 인형극 감상후 문화프로그램 기획, 동호회 혹은 동아리 기획, '인형극 워크숍' 연수기획, 도서관프로그램 기획방안에 대하여 기술하고, 장서개발 측면에서 도서관자료 활용 및 장서확장의 효과, 정보활용 교육을 기술하며, 타 문화기관과의 연계방안을 기술하였다.
Abstract
The development of library cultural programs provides educational information which can only be produced from library. It helps user's to recognize the value of library, and aims at expanding the usage of library information. This paper indicates "children puppet performance" is possible ways to find library identity in providing cultural programs, and suggests guidelines for managing the programs and supporting users.The program management section is divided into several aspects; user service, development of book collection, information service, and advertisement. In terms of user services, the paper suggests watching performances, exhibition projects, creation of related societies, puppet workshop training, and developing library cultural programs. In the development of library collections, the paper indicates usage of library resources, the effects of expanding book collection, education on information usage. In cooperating section, this paper will see the ways to connect library cultural programs to other cultural institutions.

본 연구는 공공도서관 장애인서비스를 지원하는 자원봉사자들이 활용할 수 있는 체계화된 매뉴얼을 개발하여 자원봉사 활동의 전문화 및 활성화에 기여하기 시도되었다. 장애인서비스 현황조사와 담당자와 이용자와의 면담, 전문가 간담회 등을 통하여 가장 수요가 많은 도서관 장애인서비스 유형을 파악하고, 국내외 도서관 장애인서비스 자원봉사 매뉴얼의 구성요소를 추출하여 실질적인 장애인 서비스 자원봉사 활용 매뉴얼을 개발하였다. 대면낭독, 입력봉사, 도서관 비방문자 서비스, 이동보조, 보조공학기 서비스의 5개 분야를 선정하여 이들을 효과적으로 수행할 수 있도록 각각의 구체적인 활동 매뉴얼 내용을 제시하였다. 5개자원봉사의 활동분야, 장애 유형, 활동 목적, 세부 활동 내용 및 체크리스트로 구성된 활동내용의 구성도와 구성요소의 정의를 소개하였고, 구성요소의 기술사례를 대면낭독에 적용하여 활동 매뉴얼의 내용을 간략히 제시하였다.
Abstract
This study aimed to develop an operating manual on the voluntary activity to the library services with disabled people in the public libraries. Various domestic and overseas manuals on the voluntary activity to the library services with disabled people were analyzed. From the survey and expert interviews, five types of most frequently asked library services with disabled people, face-to-face reading, word input services, services to off-library users, mobility aids services and assistance of engineering devices were extraced. Five specific areas on the voluntary activity were chosen in terms of activity area, barrier type, specific activity field, activity purpose and checklist. Finally, contents of the operating manual was applied to the area of face-to-face reading.

본 연구는 보편적 권리로서의 지역주민의 정보접근권의 보장을 위해 공공도서관 기반시설의 지역 간 격차 해소가 필요하다는 입장에서 중앙정부의 공공도서관에 대한 효과적인 재정지원 방안을 수립하는 것을 목표로 수행되었다. 이를 위하여 우선 국가도서관통계시스템에 2008년 12월 31일을 기준으로 입력된 공공도서관 연면적, 사서 수, 장서수, 예산, 자료구입비 등을 16개 광역지자체 별 인구 1인당 및 1관 당 평균을 비교 분석하여 지역 간 격차 현황을 제시 하였다. 또한 공공도서관의 재원구조와 2010년 광역 지역발전특별회계 도입에 따른 재정지원내용의 변화와 문제점을 조사하여 국가가 편성하는 국고보조금제도로의 전환을 중심으로 공공도서관 재정지원제도의 개선 방안을 제시하였다.
Abstract
In order to assure universal information access right, the present regional gap of public library infrastructure needs to be examined in Korea. The purpose of this study is to propose an effective government financial support policy to local government to bridge the regional gaps among 16 Korean wide autonomous communities. For that purpose, this study analyzed some of the per library and per capita measures, surface areas, number of librarians, number of books, total budgets and budgets for materials, etc, available in the National Library Statistics System. Then, this study reviewed changes and problems in new government financial support systems which started from 2010. Based on the results, a reformation plan of the current government financial system to national subsidy program was proposed.

본 연구의 목적은 공공도서관의 통합대출서비스를 실시하기 위해 국내 현황과 문제점을 파악하고 효과적인 통합대출서비스를 위한 모형을 개발하는데 있다. 공공도서관 사서를 대상으로 면담법과 설문지법을 이용하여 데이터를 수집하였다. 연구결과 사서들은 통합대출서비스에 대해 긍정적인 생각을 가지고 있었고, 사전에 해결해야 할 문제점들이 도출되었다. 주요 문제점으로는 개인정보유출, 지리적으로 인접한 서비스, 분실 자료의 책임, 예산 및 인력 확보, 대출규정, 취약 도서관의 문제 해결 등이었다. 통합 대출서비스 모형으로 통합시스템형, 분산시스템형, 상호대출 협약형이 제시되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to identify the problems of the reciprocal borrowing service in Korea and to develop the reciprocal borrowing model. Using interview and survey method were used for collecting data. Results show that public librarian had positive thought about reciprocal borrowing service and there were many problems to solve before operating the service. Main problems were: leaking of private information, responsibility of lost materials, budget and staff, borrowing regulation, non-competitive libraries. Also three reciprocal borrowing system models were introduced: integrated system model, distributed system model, and reciprocal arrangement model.

본 연구는 지방자치단체의 "작은도서관 설치 및 운영 지원에 관한 조례"에서 규정한 작은도서관의 시설규정과 운영방식을 분석하고, 현재 작은도서관을 이용하고 있는 이용자들을 대상으로 서비스에 대한 만족도와 요구들을 조사, 분석하여 작은도서관의 효과적인 운영방안을 제시하는데 그 목적이 있다. 연구방법으로는 단행본 논문 법률자료 인터넷사이트 등을 이용한 문헌연구법과 만족도조사를 통한 설문지법을 병행하였다. 연구결과로 작은도서관의 효과적인 운영방안을 시설 자료 인력 프로그램 네트워크의 다섯 가지 영역으로 구분하여 제안하였다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to analyze the local government's regulation on facilities and the operation method of the small library provided for in 'the Ordinance on the Support for Installation and Operation of Small Libraries', and investigate and analyze the satisfaction with the services and needs on the part of users of small libraries, thus suggesting an effective management plan for them. In this study, literature reviews and questionnaire surveys were conducted simultaneously using monographic publications, theses, legal materials and Internet sites. As for study results, an effective management plan for small libraries was suggested as follow with its division into five realms; that is, facilities, materials, manpower, programs and network.

도서관 서비스 혁신이란 지식정보화의 원천기술을 활용하여 '문화적 선도자로서의 변화'를 주도하고 하나의 시스템을 형성해 가면서 공유, 피드백 관계를 통해 새로운 지식을 창출, 상호작용이 활발한 특성화된 고유한 도서관을 만드는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 Public Library 2.0 서비스 모델을 기반으로 도서관의 서비스 혁신을 통한 디지털 지식정보화 시대에 공공도서관의 새로운 비전을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 Public Library 2.0 기반 커뮤니티지식정보시스템 구현을 위한 개념적 설계를 목적으로 하며 연구내용과 연구방법은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내외 문헌조사를 통하여 Library 2.0의 정의, 원칙과 구성요소를 조사 분석하여 혁신을 주도하는 Library 2.0 서비스 모델을 제시하였다. 둘째, 국내 외 Library 2.0의 협력 기술인 블로그, 위키, 인스텐트 메세징, 포드캐스팅, 소셜네트워킹, 플리커를 중심으로 적용 사례의 유용성을 조사하였다. 셋째, Public Library 2.0의 정의와 원칙을 살펴보고 Public Librayr 2.0 기반 커뮤니티지식정보시스템 개념적 설계를 통해 공공도서관의 새로운 비전을 제시하였다. 본 연구는 차세대 공공도서관을 위한 개념적 설계를 위한 것으로 시스템 구현과 테스트를 위한 후속연구가 요구된다.
Abstract
It is library service innovation that leading change as cultural leader in advance of original technology of knowledge information, sharing and forming a new system, creating a new knowledge in feedback relationship, and constructing a specified unique library in active interaction. The purpose of this study is to provide public library a new vision based on pubic library 2.0 service model through library service innovation in digital knowledge information age. This study aims to improvement community knowledge information system of conceptual design based on public library 2.0. It is summarized as follows: First, library 2.0 service model is proposed with library 2.0 definition, principle and essential factor through literal and e-journal search. Second, application case is searched centering around library 2.0 cooperating technology of blogs, wiki, instant messaging, podcast, social networking, flickr. Third, public library new vision is proposed by definition and principle of public library 2.0. This study is conceptual design for next generation public library and is needed follow research for system implementation and test.

이 연구는 학문분야별 연구자들이 정보를 생산하는 과정에서 참고하는 주요 정보원을 학문분야별로 비교, 분석하여 국내 문헌과 국외 문헌에 대한 학문 분야별 선호도 차이를 확인하기 위하여 수행되었다. 조사 대상 학술지는 한국연구재단의 8개 학문분야 대분류에 따라 분류된 학회에서 발간되는 학술지 가운데 선정된 학술지 8종에 대해서 '논문 수', '논문당 인용건수', '논문당 국내 문헌 인용건수', '논문당 국외 문헌 인용건수', '국내-국외 참고문헌 비율'의 차이를 검증하기 위해서 분산분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과 국내 연구자들의 연구활동에 있어서 인용하는 국내 외 문헌에 대한 선호도는 평균 인용문헌 수와 비율에 있어서 학문분야별로 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났으며, 학문분야별로 4개의 군집으로 구분되었다.
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to verify if there is any difference on researchers' language preference for citing documents in different subject fields. 8 scientific journals were selected one of each from 8 main categories, given by National Research Foundation of Korea. Five variables including the rate of citing domestic and foreign documents for each journals were choose, and the differences on language preference among researchers of different subject fields were checked by implementing ANOVA. As a result, there are some differences on language preference, in terms of the average number and percentage of foreign documents, among researchers, based on their subject background. It also found that 8 subject categories divided into 4 small clusters.
